This is a moodboard in which resembles my life and I believe that it also resembles the majority of my target audiences' life. It includes everything that is found interesting my 18-25 year olds, including music, very popular celebrities, food, college and other forms of entertainment. When reaching the production phase of our product my group will take into account these things and try and incorporate them as much as we possibly can into our final product and advert.

Advert & Product Brand Proposal: Feedback
After our proposal, our group recieved feedback from our peers. One person said that they did not understand the concept of the brand name 'Rein'. Although our group believed that the concept was clear and the name was cleverly thought about, we understood that it could be made clearer, especially for our target audience.
We will endevour to make the concept, the meaning and the idea of our final brand name clearer to benefit the audience.
Another person asked our group how we would make our orignal product stand out on a shelf full of other washing powder brands. We answered, 'We believe that what makes our product stand out the most is the vibrant colour of purple. Usually washing powders are associated with the conventional colours or orange, yellow, red or blue. We want our product to fal out of the convention and be associated with an eye catching colour such as pruple for the box. Furthermore, we'll make sure that the front of our product displays a bold which will stand out, and our logo which will also stand out, hopfeully be appealing to our target audience and be easy to remember for the benefit of future purchasing'.
Two members thought that the idea of 'Rein' was very creative and would very much suit the target audience. They also said that The colour colour associated with our brand (purple) is very different and would work. They finally said that they thought the advert and final product would be appealing and a success.

Other possible advert Concepts
Although the brand name 'Rein' has been mainly considered, our group have decided to still create a few more advert concepts for the runner up brand names.
Rainbow
preferred, however our budget may not permit
us to do so, thus we will use attractive young
ladies.
SNIFF
The product box for 'Sniff' would be a white box with the logo on it. The colours will come from the writing and the logo on the product. The advert would consist of males/females in the club drinking/eating. Suddenly something is spilt on white shirt. someone in the group pulls our product and says 'don't worry, i got sniff' then they're all like 'nooo, we don't do drugs!' 'no, this makes your whites whiter than the whites in the white line!' *cutaway* to animation of T-shirt and washing powder in washing machine. then cuts back to him in clean white shirt.
This is an example taken from the Persil 'Small and Mighty' advert, which shows an animated diagram of how the product will remove stains and what is included in the product. This is what our group aim to include in our adverts to show our target audience what makes our product stand out from the rest.
CLEARZ
The product box for 'Clearz' would be an orange box that has a clear window on the front of it so that the customers can see the powder inside the box. a coloured circle logo will be used as a logo on the front of the box also. Our rough idea of the advert is as follows:
Concert is about to start; everyone is wearing different outfits. One girl in particular is critisised for what she is wearing. Concert starts and celebrity begins to sing. Suddenly stops singing, crowed become curious. Camera then follows his eyes to see where he is looking and camera focuses on the girl that was being critisised, as the celebrity notices that her clothes are cleaner and brighter than everyone else's in the crowed.
Eyes of celeb and main girl connect, which is when a cutaway to a brief picture description of our product occurs.
'Cupid's Chokehold' sung by Gym Class Heroes, is an example of the connection in which we will attempt to make with the celebrity on stage and the girl in our advert. The girl will be made to look no more than ordinary compared to everyone else around her, and in the celebrities eyes, the spotlight will be on her.
Rainbow
We decided as a group that the product box would display different colours on the top front of it, as the message we aim to give out to our target audience is that the product 'Rainbow' will get rid of all stains on different materials and colours. In the advert we would include a group of friends all going out and wearing their own different individual colours of the rainbow. When they return home to their uni dorms, they think that they have to wash all of their clothes separately, causing arguments within the household about who is going to wash their clothes first. A very attractive guy then walks in with our rainbow product and offers it to them to use, explaining that they can wash their clothing together in one wash because of what our product includes.

Above is an example of one of the brainstorms in which took place as a group when first discussing the concept and target audience of our future advert. We brainstormed issues such as logos, the length of our advert, a catchy slogan, a colour shceme for our product and other leading brands in which we had to compare and keep in consideration when producing our final product.

Product Names?
One of the post important topics of our first discussion was the brand name in which we were going to use for our product. At first we were quite unsure of how to go about finding one to suit our target audience. Shortly after this period of contemplation, I came up with the idea of the group coming up with and providing 10 original brand names that we can show members of our target audience. Their job is to then choose one brand out of the ten and our job is to then finally tally up the winning brand name and use this.
After my team individually asked our target audience for their decisions on which name to use, we came together and added all results obtained together to make up a total score for each original name. As you can see, the most voted names were 'Rein', which won with 13 votes and 'Sniff' which was the runner up brand name with a score of 7.
ANALYSIS AND CONCEPT OF TWO TOP BRAND NAMES
Rein
...derived from the idea of a Horse rein, in which does the job of holding the Horse back when riding it. We thought that this was a good way to describe the groups expectations of the washing powder; we believe that by using 'Rein', all stains will be taken away, held back and removed.
A suitable song that would fit our target audience and that we could also incorporate into our advert is 'Purple Rain' sung by Prince. Because the song has the word 'rain' in it, it would fit very well with our advert. We also thought about using the colour purple in our advert and on our final product to represent the washing powder. Using a bold colour such as purple for our washing powder will hopefully allow the product to be subconsciously remembered by our target audience.
Rein practice video
The video above was created in order for others to capture the idea of what our advert will be based around. There will be some sort of purple element incorporated into our final advert. We will also use footage or images of a washing machine and a horse, which will highlight the meaning of the advert and product name more clearly.
SNiFF
...derived from the influence of various drugs such as cocaine. We thought that in a way, the name 'Sniff' could relate to our product very well. Cocaine is white; our product makes clothes white. We thought that a minority of Individuals from our target audience our target audience and other audiences may 'sniff' the drugs mentioned; the expectation of our product was that it will make clothes smell nice. Our team also thought that this name was quite humorous and is a play on words.
We then came to a unanimous decision that our product name would be 'Rein'.
Target Audience Research
My group have chosen to base our product around the target audience of 18-25 year olds. We thought that this would be easy because we are nearly all of this age range and could input ideas and suggestions on what we believe would sell to the target market.
We had to take the interests of our audience into consideration, including what they enjoy doing, what type of music they listen to, and what would persuade them to use our product.

In order to find out what kind of adverts were found appealing to different target audiences, I first decided to choose 4 adverts that are broadcasted and popular on TV, ask members from different target audiences to watch them all and allow them to choose which advert they found the most interesting and why. This would hopefully give me a rough insight of what kind of advert my final target audience (when chosen) would enjoy. This would help me and my group when it comes to what should be included in the final advert, and whether we should include particular elements to please our consumers.
